Grief Mentorship

Blue Flowers

“I’m so sorry death came again. She is a brutal, swift, relentless teacher. Somehow, unfathomable and unnatural circumstances are still our soul work. Your soul is mighty. May there be a healing river in your life with a current strong enough to meet this pain and humble it.”

Mentorship for Navigating Grief and Loss

This mentorship series is designed for people ages 15–28 who are actively caring for a loved one, or who are moving through the aftermath of a loss. Whether your grief is fresh or long held, whether you’re showing up day after day to support someone who is sick, or trying to keep going after a close death—this space is for you.

Together, we’ll meet for five one-hour sessions by phone or Zoom. Between sessions, there is space for text or email check-ins, as well as opportunities for you to share your process-writing, ask questions, or receive additional support as needed.

In my 20s I walked through the underworlds of caretaking and multiple deaths. Connection to people who knew something about this experience was one of the only things that helped the feelings of ruggedness and aloneness, and I now want to be a support for others navigating this terrain. This offering grows out of my commitment to create spaces for young people to be less isolated in transitions of death and loss.

What This Space Can Offer:

  • Practical Guidance: real-life, grounded support for getting through the day-to-day.

  • A Place for the Raw and the Real: a space where nothing needs to be tidied up—grief, rage, numbness, war stories, love, confusion... all welcome.

  • Creative Process Support: mentorship and email availability for sharing writing, art, comics, or reflections between sessions.

  • Nervous System & Trauma Education: simple, body-based tools for navigating overwhelm, freeze, and burnout.

  • Ritual and Meaning-Making: support for creating personal or community rituals to mark loss and healing, if and when that feels helpful.

  • Resource Referrals: connection to a trusted web of grief-informed practitioners and supports, both local and virtual.

Grief mentorship offers a compassionate, non-clinical approach to navigating loss, grounded in lived experience and emotional presence. It is not a substitute for therapy, but rather a complementary space for those seeking connection, validation, and guidance outside of a clinical setting, and in addition to psychotherapy.

Who This Is For

People between the ages of 15 and 28 who are caring for a loved one in the process of dying, or are navigating grief and life in the aftermath of a loss.

Why this age range? Experiencing caretaking and loss in early adulthood is uniquely disorienting because it collides with a life stage defined by becoming—becoming independent, forming identity, building relationships, and imagining a future. While peers are often focused on growth and expansion, grief can feel like a full-body interruption. It can shatter feelings of belonging, and create a sense of otherness from those who haven’t faced similar experiences. At a time when you're just beginning to map out who you are, loss can redraw that map entirely—quietly shaping your path, your values, and how you understand the world.
